When is the Walk? The National Walk for Epilepsy is on Saturday, March 27, 2010 on the National Mall in Washington, DC
How can I register for the walk? You can register as an individual or a team in the National Walk for Epilepsy.
Registration fees are $35 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under. All registrants get a t-shirt (XL for adults, children’s large for children).
Register Online: Please complete the registration process to join the Walk event either in person or as a virtual walker.
Register by Mail: A printable registration form will be available no later than January 4, 2010

Where can I send a donation?
Donations can be sent to the Epilepsy Foundation 8301 Professional Place Landover, MD 20785. Please make all checks payable to National Walk for Epilepsy and include a donation form .
Can I bring my dog? Service animals, any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability, are permitted at the National Walk for Epilepsy.
What sizes do the t-shirts come in? All participants will get an XL size adult t-shirt. Children will receive a children’s large t-shirt.
What portion of my entry fee is tax deductible? The $35 entry fee ($20 for children 12 and under) and all pledges and donations raised for the National Walk for Epilepsy by individuals or participants are all tax deductible.
How can I form team? You can go to the team builder portion of this site and set up a team page. Then invite your family and friends to join your team.
How do I make an anonymous donation or remove my donation amount? If you would like to make your donations anonymous or do not want to include the donation amount, you can make these adjustments at the time you make your donation. You can also make adjustments to your gift in your participant center.
Can walk if I volunteer for the walk? No, volunteers serve a very important role in the National Walk for Epilepsy experience by making sure the day is a huge success. Volunteers, while not walking, will help welcome all the walkers, participate in making sure the walkers are safe and comfortable, and help with the pre-walk rally and post walk celebrations. Can I push a stroller in the Walk? People pushing strollers are encouraged to participate at the end of the walk.
Can I use in-line skates or a skate board in the Walk? For safety reasons, we can not accommodate in-line skates or skate boards in the Walk.
Is there a discount for senior citizens or children? There are no discounts for senior citizens, but children ages 12 and under can register for $20.
Is there a minimum amount a participant must raise in order to walk? The Elipelepsy foundation does not require individuals to raise a minimum amount to participate in the walk, We ask individuals to register for the walk ($35 for adults $20 for children 12 and under) and set a goal to raise additional funds from friends and family. |
