Finding a Cure

Epilepsy has no cure -- at least not yet. The National Walk for Epilepsy will among other things help raise money to fund research so there will be a day soon when we can announce we have the cure for epilepsy. For the 3 million Americans with epilepsy, that will be a day worth celebrating, and one in which you can stand proud because your support helped bring about the end of epilepsy.

The Epilepsy Foundation and its mission partners work to fund research toward the cure. With your support, we can provide funding for promising young investigators as they begin their careers in epilepsy research.

The Foundation supports research in epilepsy prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. We also support targeted research into related mood disorders and epilepsy, women with epilepsy, children and young adults with epilepsy, and epilepsy in senior citizens. Your participation in the National Walk for Epilepsy will help us help millions of people with epilepsy and their families… as we work towards the day when we have the cure.
